Stayed at a hotel next door. Glad we walked into this place. Great menu! You have to visit Marques! (pronounced Marks)

This place has been on my list to visit for a few weeks and I finally made it in. The blackened salmon was a bit over seasoned but cooked perfectly. The fried okra and black eyed peas were delicious beyond words. I enjoyed the max and cheese and yams. I was able to make a second meal out of this. They skimped on nothing. Very nice ambiance. Plenty of parking. Attentive staff. Efficient service. I visited on a weekend during the late afternoon and was able to take a call and work remotely. The music added to a fantastic experience. I had the all American burger and Cole slaw. I will tell you that burger was possibly the best burger I've had in my lifetime. Cooked perfectly and flavored awesomely. The fries were good themselves but that burger was outstanding. When I finished the burger and fries I thought, 'nothing could beat that". Well I will tell you, that coleslaw was definitely the best coleslaw I've ever had. It even best out my grandmother's coleslaw and that is saying a lot. Do yourself a favor and eat here. You will not be disappointed!

Excellent food! The best collared greens I have ever had! The red beans and rice were awesome and the shrimp and grits were excellent.

Marques Restaurant wonderful experience. We had the chicken strips with candied yams and mashed potatoes. The chicken strips were excellent the breading was flavorful and crispy. Enjoyed the whole meal. Not to mention the services was super friendly the whole experience was great. We will definitely eat here again when we are back in the area. So close to the Goodyear theater. We had dinner and then went to see a show. We made reservations since there was a show that night at the theater.

First time here and I really enjoyed my food. It was fresh, hot and flavorful. The fried walleye wasn’t overly seasoned and fried to perfection, the collard greens had such a unique taste and the mac n cheese was good and cheddary, but just right. The chicken and andouille gumbo had just the right amount of kick. Although I wish it had a bit more flavor. The service was great and I even had the chance to fist bump the chef. Overall a good experience and I will be back!

My favorite place to eat when i come into Akron. The food is absolutely AMAZING! The staff are amazing people as well, the hospitality doesn't compare, everyone in there is super nice people and even though they were booked and reserved, the chef came out and asked what we wanted to eat sat us down made our food and brought it to us! Again, this place is a true gem and i hope they stay there forever. God bless all the people that work in there. Thank you so much for an awesome experience every time!

My first time eating here and it was excellent. My buddy and I came for lunch. We both ordered the blackened fish and two sides. The fish was perfectly cooked and the blackening spices were delicious. I had Mac&cheese and candied yams for sides. Both are great. I definitely recommend and will return to try the fried chicken.
